An amazing authentic Victorian Era watermelon tourmaline cut gem 8mm or larger, in kind of an antique Tiffany claw setting with beautiful partially raised brasswork on what I believe is a layer of mother of pearl. This has yellow brass with patina, very lovely...the photos look brown which is not the color of the piece.
This is stunning, very unique and sturdy. The pin is perfectly functional. The tourmaline really catches the light and is very well cut...you can clearly see the distinctive watermelon striped green, clear and red melon color...but it also picks up hues of blue and changes colors. It's an amazing stone. It's 2 1/8" long by 3/8" wide vintage treasure. No damage or wear issues. Could be for a man or woman.
