Gorgeous Antique Chinese Armored Teapot is fascinating with BEAUTIFUL intricate metal handwork all over and under this piece.
Excellent Condition Antique, no cracks, chips or glazing, no signs of wear. The metal is a silver color, not sure what the metal is but can be cleaned; the yellow hue is just from lighting. The lid is removable with a tiny monkey on top and the spout is intentionally obscured with the intricate dragon...you have to look far under the dragon to find it. Astounding design and work went into this piece of art. Although I imagine it could have been used for special occasions, I think even when it was young it was probably a special piece. I wouldn't suggest using it for a dispenser; it's truly a piece of fine art. Highest point 5.25", diameter about 4" at widest part of porcelain ceramic pot, widest from spout to handle, about 5". Returns for defective, returns not accepted for buyers remorse. #chineseantiques
